A collection of pardons from the Foster and Blanco years.

Last week, I worked on rehousing a collection of pardons from Governors Foster and Blanco. This collection took a few days to rehouse into 31 acid free boxes. The boxes of pardons came from the Louisiana Board of Pardons. As you can see from the photograph (on the viewer’s right) the pardons where placed in copier paper boxes and not acid free boxes. So, the pardon files had to be rehoused into acid free archival boxes. Plus, the original  boxes were not going to fit on the shelves.
